Scottish Consultants Partnership

Partner Organizations

Since TAS International was one of the first companies to be developing links and project with the Soviet Union at the beginning of the period of Perestroika, it provided a wide range of assistance and consultancy to Scottish companies and organizations interested in developing contacts . It also carried out a considerable amount of work for most of the regional councils in Scotland and many district councils.

Through the international work Scottish Overseas Development has built up a range of partnerships with Scottish institutions and organizations. These include a range of higher education institutions from universities to Further Education colleges.

Concurrently with international work, the management of the company and its consultants have maintained their involvement with social and economic organizations within Scotland. The management of Scottish Overseas has provided support for the last four years to Central Community Hall (CCH), a major community support organization employing over a hundred people and which manages 14 social and community development projects funded by the EC, Scottish Executive and the City Council. These projects include a day centre and home support for the elderly , after school support, assistance to young people leaving care and a national project providing support to the Roma people.

International Partnerships

For major projects international consortia are essential in order to exhibit breadth of experience with the necessary substantial resources and to fulfil multinational criteria.

This company from the beginning has had an impressive array of international partners, comprising well established ones from TAS International Ltd and a selection of those formerly partnering Scottish Development Overseas . Our major West European partners are drawn from the following nations :

The Accession Programme in the states of Eastern and Central Europe and the devolution of the EU project administration in the Tacis countries has made the policy of building local partnerships in the recipient countries increasingly important. Since our inception we have vigorously pursued this policy.

Our long involvement in Russia has enabled us to build a network of partnerships encompassing three separate consortia and associations of institutions of higher education ( providing access to more than 100 major institutions across the country), and public and educational organizations in the areas of management education and entrepreneurship, public administration and social development. These partnerships have enabled us to build a large resource of local experts throughout the country.

The other countries where we have partners skilled in management, change and training include :

The partnerships represent an excellent mix of major business schools, universities and companies with excellent project experience.
